We are looking to recruit a highly motivated Salaried GP to work a total of 2 sessions per week, on a Tuesday, on a fixed-term contract until 31st March 2027. The ideal candidate will provide a high standard of care, have a flexible approach, and work well with all members of the team.
We can offer:
- 6 weeks holiday and one session per week paid CPD (pro rata for less than 8 sessions)
- Paid indemnity fees
Main duties of the job:
- Providing care to patients, with a mix of face to face and telephone appointments
- Share of On Call / Duty Day
- Home visits where required
- Attendance at practice meetings and clinical huddles
- Strong teamwork
- Proactive preventative care and good case management of complex patients

- Supportive clinical team including 5 x salaried GPs, 2 x Nurse Practitioners, 2 x Practice Nurses, 2 x GP Assistants, 1 x Healthcare Assistant and a Pharmacist.

Job responsibilities:
- GP duties include providing care to patients, examining patients, diagnosing illnesses, and prescribing appropriate treatment.
- You should also be able to address patients' health-related queries.
- Reviewing and updating patients' medical records.
- Diagnosing common ailments such as colds, flu, and diabetes.
- Prescribing medications and lifestyle alterations.
- Requesting relevant tests on ICE and organising samples to be sent to labs for further testing.
- Referring patients to specialists for further testing and treatment, if needed.
- Anticipating and responding to patients' wellness-related questions and concerns.
Person Specification:
- Medical Degree.
- Registration with an appropriate health professions board.
- Proven experience as a General Practitioner.
- Adherence to health and ethical codes, including when under duress.
- Strong ability to triage and manage workload.
- Disclosure and Barring Service Check.
