About the Practice

Colliers Wood Surgery is seeking a motivated and patient‑centred Salaried General Practitioner to join our friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team under the NHS GP Reimbursement Scheme. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well‑established practice committed to delivering high‑quality primary care to a diverse patient population. The appointment is offered on a fixed‑term basis until 31 March 2027 in accordance with current NHS funding arrangements. There may be an opportunity to extend the contract beyond this date, subject to the continuation of national NHS policy and funding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive, high‑quality primary medical services to registered patients.
  • Undertake face‑to‑face, telephone, video, and online consultations as appropriate.
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with national and local guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records using EMIS Web.
  • Review pathology results, correspondence, and clinical documents in a timely manner.
  • Participate in safeguarding activities for children and vulnerable adults.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team, including pharmacists, nurses, physician associates, and care coordinators.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, audits, and service development.
  • Support the achievement of contractual, quality, and clinical governance requirements.
  • Participate in practice meetings and educational activities.
  • Promote health education and preventative healthcare.

Qualifications

  • Fully qualified General Practitioner with inclusion on the GMC GP Register.
  • Licence to practice with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Included on an NHS England Performers List.
  • Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to patient‑centred care and clinical excellence.

Desirable

  • Experience working in NHS General Practice.
  • Familiarity with EMIS Web.
  • Interest in quality improvement, teaching, research, or specialist clinical areas.
