We are looking for a Senior Cost Manager or Associate Director level applicant who will be responsible for managing all cost-related aspects of construction projects, from initial estimates through to final accounts. This role ensures projects are delivered within budget while maintaining quality and compliance standards. The position requires strong commercial acumen, leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders. Key project work will be within the Super Prime Residential market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cost Management: Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans at various design stages.
  • Tendering & Procurement: Manage tender processes, evaluate bids, and negotiate contracts with contractors.
  • Contract Administration: Oversee contract compliance, variations, and claims management.
  • Financial Reporting: Produce accurate monthly cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and final accounts.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial and contractual risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure alignment on cost objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor junior quantity surveyors and support their professional development.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant legislation, standards, and company policies.
  • Client Relationship Management and New Business Development.
