We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Data Researcher to join our small, dedicated Business Development (BD) team.

This role is vital to supporting our national Rating division - a team of 140 specialists across the UK - by ensuring the smooth operation of its activities.

Your work will be meticulous and detail-oriented, focusing on accurate lead generation and in-depth portfolio research.

The ideal candidate will have a keen investigative mindset, capable of mapping complex property portfolios and corporate structures while ensuring our data remains clean, accurate and actionable., Data Entry & Management: Source and verify data from various platforms to maintain and update internal databases (including property, company, and client information).

Uphold data integrity and confidentiality through regular quality assurance checks and required updates.

Team

Coordination: Collaborate closely with team members to optimise workflow and communication.

Contribute to team meetings and ensure timely and effective responses to internal requests.

Research & Reporting: Conduct in-depth analysis of property portfolios and complex landlord assets, alongside running regular queries to track key team metrics.

Compile all findings into structured reports and consistent updates that follow established team guidelines.

Document

Administration: Create, format, and edit key team materials (such as contracts and summary sheets) while maintaining an organised digital filing system to ensure all files are accurately labelled, properly stored, and easily accessible.

Client

Interaction: Act as a point of contact when issuing contracts to potential clients, providing exceptional customer service and promptly addressing inquiries or redirecting them to the appropriate team members.

AI: Leverage AI tools (e. g., Co-pilot) to increase efficiency, while applying critical thinking to validate all outputs.

Proactively identify and propose innovative applications for AI within our team and the wider business.

Ad hoc

Tasks: Assist with ad hoc requests and projects, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

  • Prior experience in data administration or research role within professional services, commercial real estate, or business rates is advantageous.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel - ability to work with formulas, formatted templates, and data manipulation.
  • Highly organised and able to multitask, whilst being flexible to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • A logical and analytical mindset with strong attention to detail, to spot discrepancies in various datasets.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills to liaise with internal colleagues and external contacts.
  • Strong collaborative skills to work effectively in a small, focused team within a large corporate matrix.
  • Experience using Salesforce or another CRM system is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Power BI would be beneficial but not essential.
