The Team: Colliers Project & Building Consultancy (PBC) is a multi-disciplinary UK and European consultancy with a dynamic, commercial outlook and close-knit team ethic, working within the property industry.
The Opportunity: Following a strong establishment of the Measured Surveys Service team, Colliers (UK) are looking to grow the service line with a number of hires. We have created a dynamic new service line for Colliers (UK), to enable the business to provide Area Referencing Survey Reports and associated services. As this is a relatively new service line for Colliers, it therefore brings a unique opportunity for the successful candidate to help drive the early development of the new service line, working with the Service Line Head (SLH). Colliers will provide a tried and tested platform for providing the managerial support they will need, alongside Marketing and Communications, Finance, HR and legal compliance. There is an existing healthy client base and rich work stream to tap into. The new service line would sit within the existing Project and Building Consultancy (PBC) team, which comprises 250 people across the UK, led by Robert Perry, as Managing Director. There is desire to grow the service to provide other complimentary, bolt on, services in due course, however the initial focus will be on Area Referencing Survey Reports.
Scope of Responsibility: Reporting to the Service Line Head and/or Project lead:
- Lead/assist on-site Team undertaking of Measured Surveys.
- Completion of on-site measurement surveys to RICS standards.
- Compile and delivery of reports.
- QA of reports (Associate Director).
- Mentoring and support of junior members of staff with on the job training of technical skills and professional development.
- File management and security of information / data protection.
- Supporting the Service Line Head, promotion of the new service, pitches, presenting, business development where required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree or MSc in Geomatics, Land Surveying, Geography or Civil Engineering and/or relevant industry experience (4 year minimum).
- Knowledge of Leica instrumentation (Total Stations, Terrestrial Laser Scanners, Disto and GNSS equipment) and processing software (Cyclone Register 360, Cloudworx and N4Ce).
- Experience of producing topographic surveys for development and floor risk purposes.
- Experienced user of AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of Revit.
- Knowledge and experience of compiling reports to RICS Standards and IPMS: All Building.
- Entrepreneurially minded with a forward-thinking approach.
- Excellent communicator and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organised.
- Able to present on the subject matter to colleagues and clients comfortably when required.
- Commercially minded.
- Technical, precise and accurate ways of working.
- Can build, develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
- Member or working towards membership of the RICS or CICES.
- Can work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to work and travel through the UK and Europe. This will, from time to time, include some overnight stays depending on project location.
- Driving licence.
