This is a unique opportunity to start your career in one of the most vital and technical areas of commercial real estate: Business Rates. You will join a 90-strong national team that advises major UK and international clients on how to manage their property tax liabilities effectively.
Working alongside some of the industry's top talent, you will gain hands-on experience in:
- Inspecting and measuring commercial properties of all types
- Preparing valuations and lease summaries
- Attending client meetings and inspections
- Researching rental evidence to support valuations
- Drafting formal appeals and negotiating with the Valuation Office Agency
- Collaborating with colleagues across the UK to deliver client reports
From day one, you will be involved in real projects with real clients, building the technical skills and commercial insight that will set you up for long-term success in the industry.
Your Learning & Development
This apprenticeship combines practical experience with academic learning. Over 56 months you will:
- Work towards a Level 6 Chartered Surveyor (Commercial Real Estate) Apprenticeship
- Earn a RICS-accredited degree from the University College of Estate Management (UCEM)
- Gain your RICS APC (Assessment of Professional Competence) qualification
- Spend 20% of your time on structured learning, typically one day a week, all fully supported by Colliers
Training is delivered online, supported by experienced tutors and mentors, so you will benefit from flexibility while learning at your own pace.
