Colliers is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to join our Queensland Real Estate Management Services (REMS) team, overseeing a diverse portfolio of Commercial and Industrial assets across Greater Brisbane. This role offers the opportunity to partner with premier institutional clients and contribute to the delivery of exceptional asset performance and service excellence. This role is ideal for someone with a background in commercial facilities management (or a related field) who thrives in a dynamic environment and can manage their time effectively. The position involves regular travel between allocated assets for contractor coordination, tenant engagement, and site inspections. You’ll be based at one of our CBD assets, with the support of our Brisbane Head Office close by.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure all assets, plant, and equipment are maintained for optimal performance, efficiency, and lifecycle planning.
- Facilitate NABERS processes across energy, water, indoor environment, and waste.
- Uphold Australian Standards and industry best practice, including administering Colliers’ national compliance program, with a strong focus on essential, fire, and life safety services.
- Implement WHS and risk management procedures for all planned site operations and maintenance activities.
- Manage asset expenditure in collaboration with the property management team.
- Lead procurement activities, including tendering, negotiating, and managing service and maintenance contracts.
- Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly reporting, including expenditure and performance data.
- Maintain compliance with OH&S obligations, completing audits and reviews as required by Colliers, clients, and legislation.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships with tenants, clients, and internal teams.
- Confident problem-solver who can work autonomously and resolve issues efficiently.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or professional certifications (preferred but not essential).
- Solid understanding of industry best practice, sustainability, and legislative compliance.
- Strong technical knowledge of building services, operations, and risk management.
