We are looking for a Cable Assembler to join our clients team in the Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing industry. As a Cable Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling and manufacturing a variety of cables and wire harnesses according to specifications. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work with various tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

· Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions to perform cable assembly

· Cut, strip, and terminate wires and cables

· Assemble and solder connectors, terminals, and other components

· Perform quality checks and inspections to ensure the cables meet the required specifications and standards

· Test assembled cables and troubleshoot any issues

· Maintain a clean and organized work area

· Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements

· Proven experience in cable assembly or a related field

· Knowledge of electrical assembly techniques and tools

· Familiarity with reading engineering drawings and schematics

· Ability to work with small, intricate components and assemblies

· Basic computer skills

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy

· Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy components

· Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination

· Good communication skills and ability to work as a part of a team

· Certification in cable assembly or a related field is a plus

· Knowledge of quality control processes and standards is a plus

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets

· Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to £13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
