Collide Technical is working with a well-established and growing precision engineering company in Bournemouth, which is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead its quality function within a high-spec aerospace manufacturing environment. This is a key leadership role offering full ownership of the quality system, the opportunity to drive continuous improvement, and influence business-wide standards in a technically advanced setting.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing and developing the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with aerospace standards, and leading all quality-related activities across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and maintaining the QMS in line with AS9100 / ISO 9001 standards
  • Leading internal and external audits, including customer and regulatory audits
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and quality processes
  • Managing non-conformance, root cause analysis (RCA), and corrective actions (CAPA)
  • Overseeing inspection and quality assurance activities
  • Working closely with production, engineering, and senior management teams
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing the quality team
  • Acting as the main point of contact for customer quality issues
