Collide Technical is working with a client who is seeking an experienced and proactive Quality Team Leader with experience in PCB and Cable assembly to join their team in Portsmouth. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality-focused professional with strong leadership skills to oversee departmental operations and ensure high standards are consistently met.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 4:00pm
- Friday: 7:30am - 1:00pm
- Additional hours may be required as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support department staff on a day-to-day basis
- Plan and manage departmental workload effectively
- Control and oversee calibration of equipment
- Complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and submit to customers
- Act as a key point of contact for customer queries (technical and build-related)
- Support and participate in customer audits
- Maintain and control customer specification registers
- Conduct process inspections including crimps and soldering
- Perform continuity testing where required
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar quality or manufacturing role (preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Experience with measuring tools and inspection processes
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Computer literate
- Familiarity with IPC-620 standards (advantageous)
Additional Information:
There will be a requirement to carry out testing using Cirrus and Analyzer equipment. Previous testing experience is desirable, however full training can be provided.
