Transport Consultant - The Role
You will work as part of our Consulting team, reporting to the Consulting Manager. This varied role involves delivering traffic and transport assessments and reporting, primarily for renewable energy projects. You will conduct site visits across the UK and occasionally EU-based locations, carrying out route assessments, surveys and CAD analysis. You will liaise directly with clients, drivers, local authorities and contractors to ensure safe and compliant transport of out-of-gauge components including wind turbine equipment.
Transport Consultant - Key Responsibilities
- Create and provide route assessment reports, audits and swept path analysis using CAD software.
- Carry out topographical surveys using calibrated surveying instruments.
- Design and review loading and transport methods using 2D and 3D AutoCAD.
- Assess routes for out-of-gauge component delivery and attend trial runs.
- Conduct desktop studies using online mapping tools.
- Maintain direct communication with clients, drivers, local authorities and site contractors.
Transport Consultant - You
- Qualified to A-Level standard or equivalent with knowledge of transport, engineering and surveying standards.
- Proficient in 2D and 3D AutoCAD with experience of CDM regulations.
- Self-motivated, well-organised team player with excellent communication and numerical skills.
- Valid driving licence and passport for UK and European travel.
