The Role:
As Renewables Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of windfarm projects across the UK, reporting directly to the Renewables Director. You will manage all aspects of projects from conception to completion, including the movement of wind turbine components, shipping, port handling, lifting, transport and logistics operations. You will attend client kickoff meetings, produce relevant documentation, plan road transport operations, manage abnormal indivisible loads including permit applications and route surveys, and provide on-site support to the team as the main point of contact with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all technical, budgetary, SHEQ, logistics and schedule aspects of renewables projects
- Plan and coordinate the movement of abnormal indivisible loads, including obtaining permits and undertaking route surveys
- Attend client meetings to establish requirements and agree project programmes
- Produce RAMS documentation, equipment lists and communicate to the team
- Manage operations on a cost-effective basis and ensure timely project delivery
- Provide on-site technical support to the site team and respond to issues professionally
- Field incoming calls and emails from customers, drivers and sub-contractors
You:
- Experience in a logistics environment with knowledge of the heavy lift and transport sector
- Proven experience in project-oriented administration, cost control and management
- Full clean driving licence and relevant experience in a similar role
- Strong attention to detail with ability to complete necessary documentation
- Customer focused with good communication skills and ability to work under pressure
- High level of computer skills including experience with CRM systems
- Geographic knowledge of the UK and Europe
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and build business relationships
