  • Diagnose and rectify all types of faults.
  • Service and repair vehicles or components using appropriate equipment and tools.

  • Fabrication of components.
  • Any other reasonable duties as workload requires.

Qualifications/Experience

  • City & Guilds or NVQ qualified technician.
  • The ability to organise work on own initiative and work under pressure.
  • Experience working with trailers, hydraulic systems and electrical systems.
  • Experience of diagnostic computers would be an advantage.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Having a C+E (Class 1) Licence would be preferred but not essential.
  • Effective communicator at all levels.

Location

The role is based at our Halifax Depot, but flexibility and mobility is required to carry out the task. Anticipated normal working hours are 06.00 to 18.00 hours shifts, with one hour breaks, on a 4 on 4 off, rolling shift pattern. 20 days holiday per year including Bank Holidays. Company contributions to the pension scheme is offered subject to conditions. Overnight subsistence costs are paid when away from base.
