Reporting to the MEP Construction Manager in Region, the key requirements include:
- 3rd Level Building Services / Mechanical Engineering Degree and/or Trade background
- Minimum 3 yearsβ plus experience in a site-based MEP role
- Experience working on hyperscale Data Centers
- Excellent IT skills
- Strong ability to collaborate and work as part of a high-performance team
Key responsibilities:
- Align Mechanical activities to ensure they are completed safely, keeping the Health and Safety of all stakeholders at the forefront of decisions made or works executed.
- Lead by example and ensure all stakeholders are aware of Company specific Health & Safety policies and procedures, making Health & Safety a key part of discussions.
- Be fully aware of and ensure that all stakeholders are informed about hazardous energies and site-specific management strategies (Lock Out Tag Out).
- Have a full working knowledge of the project Mechanical systems and track systems installation to ensure compliance with specifications and programme needs.
- Understand project specific commissioning requirements and assist in developing project specific Commissioning Implementation Plans (CIPs).
- Complete site inspections of the Mechanical, BAS/BMS, MEP & CSA works to ensure installation conforms to relevant requirements.
- Coordinate that rooms and areas meet the relevant CSA and MEP Quality standards for advanced Beneficial Use in line with the master construction programme.
- Ensure stakeholders receive sufficient information needed to progress systems installation in line with the master construction programme.
- Ensure contractors and vendors are adequately resourced to complete works successfully, streamlining and prioritising the execution of electrical activities.
- Review the master construction schedule and identify opportunities and sequencing to focus on work faces in terms of Mechanical and CSA scope to enhance programme delivery.
- Chair and input into onsite and offsite meetings with all relevant project stakeholders as per project requirements.
- Issue weekly progress & costs reports as required.
- Manage sub-contractor activities including tracking progress against schedule and manpower levels.
- Review and ensure system mechanical stakeholders produce the following items: (i) Construction and Commissioning Programs reflective of the Master Construction Schedule (ii) Works execution documents and trackers (iii) Risk Assessments and Method Statements (iv) Progress reports reflective of their scope in alignment with their programme (v) All relevant Field and Vendor turnover/handover packs as required by the project.
