We are looking for a supportive and highly capable Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 5 on an individual basis. This is a fixed term role linked to EHCP funding and expected to be for a minimum of 2 academic years. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and, as well as being able to communicate effectively with external professionals and students, will be able to support a student with social, emotional and mental health needs, as well as supporting their literacy skills to ensure full access to the curriculum. An NVQ Level 3 qualification in teaching and learning, or a willingness to work towards this, is essential. The hours for this role will be 37.5 hours per week, worked Monday to Friday, 8am until 4pm, including a 30 minutes unpaid lunch break. These hours are to be worked during term time and on all INSET days (35 weeks per year). You will receive a pro-rata salary of between £21,214 to £22,983 (based on £27,518 FTE to £29,812 FTE), depending on skills, experience and qualifications. This includes paid holiday based on 25 days per year, plus 8 bank holidays pro-rata.
