Role Overview

We are currently looking for a Business Analyst to join our team based out of our London office. The role involves analysing and understanding business processes, problems and opportunities, and proposing effective process and system improvements. You will own and manage the product backlog using Azure DevOps (or similar tools), working with business stakeholders to prioritise work and translate requirements into clear Epics, Features and User Stories with well-defined acceptance criteria. Working closely with development, testing and delivery teams, you will support successful project outcomes, engaging with senior stakeholders across the business to clarify requirements, manage change and contribute to the delivery of insurance platform and wider transformation initiatives within an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and understand business processes, problems, and opportunities to propose effective process and system improvements.
  • Own and manage the product backlog using Azure DevOps (or similar tools), prioritising work and translating requirements into clear Epics, Features and User Stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.
  • Work closely with development, testing and delivery teams to support successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in the insurance industry and a proven track record of delivering IT and digital change initiatives, ideally involving core insurance platforms.
  • Strong working knowledge of Agile and DevOps delivery, including backlog management and minimum viable product-driven approaches.
  • Confident working with stakeholders across both technical and non-technical teams, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced transformation environment.
  • Proven ability to be pragmatic and collaborative in change delivery.
  • Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira, and knowledge of data analysis (e.g. SQL), reporting tools, or process modelling is highly desirable.
