Description
Royal Holloway Women's Football Club is looking for a committed, enthusiastic and driven coach to lead our 2nd Team for the 2026/27 season. Our 2nd Team is one of four competitive squads within the club and plays an important role in providing a challenging but supportive environment for players looking to develop and compete at a high level. We're looking for someone who is passionate about women's football and excited to help build on the team's success both on and off the pitch. The coach will work closely with the team captain, vice-captain and wider coaching staff to create an enjoyable, competitive environment where players can continue to develop individually and collectively. We value strong communication and are looking for someone who is open to collaborating with the captains to plan training, set team goals and maintain a positive team culture throughout the season.
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a relevant coaching qualification (or be working towards one).
- Be available for Monday (8:30-10:00) & Friday (7:00-8:30) evening training sessions, plus Wednesday (BUCS) and Sunday (LUSL) fixtures.
- Plan and deliver engaging training sessions that support players' technical and tactical development.
- Support individual player development through observation, feedback and match-day coaching.
- Work closely with the captain, vice-captain and coaching staff to create a positive, competitive and inclusive team environment.
- Communicate openly with players, set high standards on and off the pitch, and be receptive to feedback.
We particularly encourage applications from female coaches, although applications from all qualified candidates are welcome. If you're passionate about developing players, creating a positive team environment and becoming part of a welcoming and ambitious club, we'd love to hear from you.
