Are you passionate about dog grooming? Do you hold a level 3 dog grooming qualification? Are you keen to use your skills to grow and develop the next generation of dog groomers? As a Teaching Support Officer in Dog Grooming, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operational running of our K9 Dog Grooming parlour at the Wisbech Campus.
This is a varied role with a focus on working with our students in the parlour and kennels, ensuring that stock and equipment are maintained, as well as providing practical support to learners. Our salons are open to the public Monday to Friday, allowing our students to gain the best hands-on experience, so that they leave with industry-ready skills and experience. We have invested heavily into the salon to ensure that our students and customers receive the best grooming experience.
Your experience and qualifications in dog grooming are far more important than experience in a classroom environment, including working with a range of coat types and dog breeds. A full Level 3 dog grooming qualification is essential, and you should have a Level 2 in English and Maths (GCSE A*-C/9-4) or equivalent, or be willing to obtain it. Holding a first aid qualification would be an advantage but is not essential.
