Overview

JOB TITLE: LECTURER – HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE

LOCATION: KINGS LYNN

HOURS: 37 PER WEEK

Due to internal progression, CWA is recruiting for a full-time lecturer in Health and Social Care. The Health and Social Care Department offers a range of courses, including GCSE 14-16 Programme, level 1-3 Health and Social Care courses, and T-level in Health and Adult Counselling courses at our Wisbech Campus. We are looking for a dedicated professional to complement our strong team, with values aligned to our department charter: collaboration, expectation, communication. Whether you have a teaching background or are a Health or Social Care professional in industry, we would love to hear from you.

Teaching experience is preferred but not essential. If you are passionate about health and social care and want to share this with young people to develop their personal and professional skills while inspiring them to reach their full potential, apply today. We will work with you to ensure that the curriculum you deliver aligns with your skills, qualifications and experience. We offer courses for 16-18 year olds across the health and social care spectrum at levels 2, 3 and our T Level provision. We are committed to staying at the forefront of education developments and potentially expanding our curriculum offer.

This is an exciting and challenging role working with learners looking to forge a career in health or social care. We have close links with the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Kings Lynn to design and implement a curriculum that meets local community needs.

We pride ourselves on our approach to work-life balance and actively support job share and flexible working opportunities.

Salary: appointment on the scale based on experience and teaching qualifications. Appointments are normally not made at point 12 or above (£35,831 FTE) without a level 5 teaching qualification and experience.

Benefits

We offer an excellent package including a generous annual leave allowance of 37 days per year for curriculum staff, five College closure days, bank holidays (pro-rata for part-time), fee waivers on some College courses, a contributory pension scheme with the Teachers’ Pension Scheme (current employer contribution is 23.68%), discounts with local businesses and access to a cycle-to-work scheme. CWA focuses on staff well-being with resources such as a wellbeing committee, and access to a free and confidential Employee Assistance Programme, as well as comprehensive training and development. Job share opportunities are available for the right candidates.
