Overview
We are a successful, community‑focused FE College based in the East of England.
This role is for a member of our English team who will deliver Functional Skills and GCSE lessons, supporting learners to develop a passion for English and apply their skills to their courses and everyday life.
Location & Hours
Locations: Kings Lynn or Kings Lynn/ Wisbech.
Hours: 18.5‑30 hours per week at Kings Lynn (part‑time); full‑time role at Kings Lynn/ Wisbech. Job share and flexible working options are available.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality Functional Skills and GCSE lessons to learners across a range of subject areas.
- Support learners to understand and apply English principles related to their study and daily life.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan, assess and improve teaching practice.
- Participate in professional development and training programmes offered by the college.
Qualifications & Experience
- Level 5 teaching qualification (or equivalent) and relevant teaching experience.
- Experience in delivering Functional Skills and/or GCSE lessons is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of current teaching standards and curriculum requirements for English at the FE level.
- Ability to work as part of a tight‑knit, supportive team with a focus on work‑life balance.

The salary point will be determined by experience and teaching qualifications, in line with the current pay scale.
Appointments at point 12 or above (£37,454 FTE) are normally only made for staff with a level 5 teaching qualification and experience.
