About the role:
We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to join our Additional Learning Support Teaching (ALS) team for 2 days per week. This role focuses on supporting students who require additional tuition in English or maths, as well as those who need help developing key skills such as time management or academic writing.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver personalised learning sessions tailored to each student's individual needs.
- Identify gaps in students' understanding, build confidence, and support progress through targeted, engaging activities.
- Work with small groups of students, delivering sessions in maths, English, academic writing and planning, or time management.
- Manage own timetable and ensure support sessions are arranged around students’ existing commitments.
Qualifications:
Appointment will be based on experience and teaching qualifications. Levels above point 12 (£37,454 FTE) normally require a level 5 teaching qualification and experience.
