Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Industry Expert in Forensic Planning & Delay Analysis to deliver lectures for our Professional Diploma in Forensic Schedule and Delay Analysis, with a particular focus on the topic of delay determination.

This freelance position is ideal for a seasoned construction professional who is passionate about sharing real-world insights and guiding learners through practical and theoretical aspects of scheduling and delay analysis.

Lectures are delivered online at weekends via Zoom, with learners based in the UK and internationally. In addition to teaching, the role involves marking assignments and providing detailed, constructive feedback to help learners improve their understanding and build professional confidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging 2-hour lectures on weekends via Zoom.
  • Use industry case studies and practical examples to bring course material to life.
  • Mark and assess assignments, offering specific feedback to support learner development.
  • Answer student queries and providing support where needed.
  • Review and refine lecture materials to ensure content remains up to date and industry-relevant.

Key Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years\’ experience in the construction industry, with a strong background in forensic planning, scheduling, and delay analysis.
  • Academic qualification to degree level or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Chartered membership of a recognised construction or engineering institution (e.g. CIOB, RICS, ICE, AACE) is preferred.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Primavera P6 is advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A professional, supportive, and learner-focused attitude.
  • Availability to teach on weekends and meet marking deadlines.
  • Able to adapt and respond to challenges in a remote learning environment.
