We are looking for an energetic and motivated lecturer to join our team on a freelance basis to guide our learners on our Professional Diploma courses, with a focus on Risk Management, Commercial Success: Optimising Risk Management. The role will involve a mixture of work, including lecturing at the weekend online via Zoom and marking assignments, providing specific feedback as to why students may have gained or lost marks, and building learners' confidence. A strong candidate will have a background in the construction industry and be able to bring their real-world experience to the learners, having worked on a variety of projects. Good verbal and written skills and a consistent work ethic are essential. The main aim of our courses is to build our learners' confidence so they can progress. This will be a freelance position. Work can be completed from the comfort of your own home, with interactions taking place via Zoom. We are looking for a long-term working relationship with a lecturer who would be excited to teach the module each time the course is run, twice a year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Running 2-hour lectures at the weekend.
  • Marking students' assignments and providing specific feedback in a timely manner.
  • Answering student queries.
  • Creating lecturing slides for the first run of the module.

Key Requirements:

  • Hold relevant academic qualification ideally to degree level or equivalent or be a fellow/chartered Member of the RICS.
  • Be happy to work at the weekends.
  • Experience of at least 10 years within the construction industry.
  • A positive can-do attitude.
  • Be open-minded and able to adapt to any challenges which may arise.
