Job Description We are looking for an energetic and motivated lecturer to join our team on a freelance basis to coach our learners through the process of completing their Level 6 NVQ qualification. The role will involve a mixture of work, including reviewing and providing feedback for learner’s portfolio, assisting with the upload and sign off on the City & Guild portal, one to one coaching sessions and in some instances on site visits to see the learners in action. A strong candidate will have a background in the construction industry and will have an assessor qualification, be familiar with the process, having good verbal and written skills and a consistent work ethic. Prior experience as an NVQ assessor is desirable. This will be a freelance position. Work can be completed from the comfort of your own home, with interactions taking place via Zoom. Site visit will not be required for all candidates. Key Responsibilities: – Induct as well as provide support and feedback to candidates either by email, telephone, Teams, or on occasion face to face. – One to one sessions to support candidates with building their portfolio. – You may also be carrying out site visits to candidate’s workplaces to undertake observations and professional discussions in the UK – Review learners portfolio providing feedback. Key Requirements: – Assessor award or certificate. – Hold relevant academic qualification ideally to degree level or equivalent and be a fellow/chartered Member of the RICS. – Experience of at least 5 years within the construction industry. – A positive can-do attitude. – Be open-minded and able to adapt to any challenges which may arise.
