About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated part-time Sport Lecturer to join our dynamic team. This role involves delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to learners across a range of courses in Sport. You will be instrumental in preparing learners for careers in the sports industry. Knowledge of apprenticeships and an assessing qualification would be highly desired and advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons across Sport courses.
- Develop and adapt course materials to meet curriculum requirements and learner needs.
- Support and guide learners in their academic and professional development.
- Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance processes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and incorporate real-world insights into teaching.
- Support learners in work placements and extracurricular activities, or sporting events.
- Collaborate with colleagues and industry partners and stakeholders to enhance learning opportunities.
Essential Criteria:
- A relevant degree in Sport, or a related field.
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent) or willingness to obtain one.
- Industry experience in sport, uniformed services, or a related sector.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Passion for education and learner success.
- Ability to inspire and motivate learners.
- Knowledge of current industry trends and requirements.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience in delivering BTEC, NCFE, or similar qualifications.
- Experience working in Further or Higher Education.
- Assessing qualification and knowledge of apprenticeships.
