The Role
You will support the sales team across quoting, ordering, order checking and project administration, helping them focus on winning work and developing client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Produce and quality-check furniture quotations
- Request and review supplier quotations
- Work confidently across multiple supplier price lists
- Raise purchase orders and place orders with approved suppliers
- Check order acknowledgements and identify discrepancies
- Prepare project front sheets, handover information and supporting documentation
- Help protect project margins through accurate checking and clear communication
- Update the CRM, internal systems and project information
- Support the project management team with occasional site visits and snagging
- Prepare O & M information, sustainability reports and carbon documentation
- Support PQQ submissions and other business documentation
- Coordinate supplier presentations, Lunch & Learns and team events
- Re-prioritise tasks when urgent quotations or orders arise
About You
You will already have experience working within the commercial furniture, workplace interiors or FF&E industry, ideally for a furniture dealer or manufacturer.
You should be able to hit the ground running and will ideally have experience in several of the following areas:
- Produce furniture quotations
- Read and interpret supplier price lists
- Raise purchase orders
- Place furniture orders
- Check order acknowledgements
- Identify pricing, specification or quantity discrepancies
- Support projects from quotation through to delivery
- Work with CRM, ordering or job-costing systems
You will also be
- Numerically confident and highly accurate
- Meticulous when checking quotes, orders and documentation
- Comfortable working under pressure and managing competing deadlines
- Confident communicating with suppliers, clients and internal teams
- Proactive, dependable and willing to take ownership
- Commercially aware, with an understanding of margins and project costs
- A genuine team player with a practical, roll-your-sleeves-up attitude
- Interested in sustainability and responsible procurement
Advanced Microsoft 365 skills are required. Experience using CRM systems or furniture-ordering software would be advantageous, while Adobe InDesign experience is useful but not essential.
