London | Full-time

We are working with one of the UK’s leading commercial furniture dealers to appoint a Coordination Manager.

This is a senior, operations-led management position for someone who understands how a commercial furniture business works and the level of detail behind a successful project.

The role focuses on supporting, mentoring, and improving a team of Account Managers, helping them become more organised, consistent, and effective across the administrative, commercial, and project detail of their roles.

This is not a sales position.

The Role

You will work closely with Account Managers, Sales Managers, Project Managers and Operations, helping ensure projects and client accounts move through the business properly.

This role brings structure, attention to detail, and accountability to the account management function.

You will help Account Managers manage workloads, keep information accurate, follow processes, improve handovers and maintain the level of detail required to deliver projects successfully.

You are not there to sell on behalf of the team.

You are there to mentor, manage and improve how they work.

  • What You’ll Be Doing
  • Manage and mentor Account Managers from a coordination and administrative perspective.
  • Help individuals prioritise workloads and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Improve consistency, organisation and attention to detail across the team.
  • Ensure quotations, specifications, orders and project information are accurate and complete.
  • Help create stronger working practices and better internal processes.
  • Make sure opportunities and live projects move through the business correctly.
  • Improve handovers between Account Management, Project Management and Operations.
  • Identify gaps, bottlenecks and recurring issues before they become larger problems.
  • Coach team members who need more structure, organisation or confidence.
  • Create accountability and maintain high standards.
  • Work closely with senior management to improve the overall performance of the commercial team.
  • Help Account Managers deliver more holistically across both client service and project administration.

About You

For this role, commercial furniture industry experience is essential.

You will ideally have worked for a commercial furniture dealer, consultancy or furniture brand in a role such as:

  • Sales Coordination Manager
  • Senior Sales Coordinator
  • Coordination Manager
  • Commercial Operations
  • Senior Account Coordinator
  • Project Coordinator
  • Senior administrative or operational support within a furniture sales environment

You should already be familiar with the journey from enquiry and specification through quoting, ordering, project management, and delivery.

You are likely to be

  • Exceptionally organised and highly attentive to detail.
  • Experienced in coordination, administration, operations or logistics.
  • Confident managing and mentoring people.
  • Comfortable challenging poor habits and improving standards.
  • Good at managing flow, process and information.
  • Calm across multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Familiar with quotations, specifications, orders and project documentation.
  • Able to work effectively with sales, account management, project management and operations teams.
  • Process-minded without being overly bureaucratic.
  • Positive, practical and solutions-focused.
  • More interested in making a business work well than becoming a salesperson.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to take a senior coordination role within one of the strongest commercial furniture dealers in the UK.

The business already has an established team, excellent clients and an exceptional project portfolio.

They are now looking for someone who understands the detail behind successful furniture projects and can use that experience to develop people, improve processes and raise standards across the account management team.

For someone who has built their career in furniture coordination, sales support or commercial operations and is ready to step into a broader management role, this is a very strong next move.
