We are recruiting on behalf of a leading commercial furniture procurement and interiors company seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer or Mid-Weight Interior Designer to join its growing design team. They are flying after securing a big client, so they may need two designers. This is a design led furniture dealer not a traditional design practice, so FF&E and furniture specification is the focus.
The Opportunity
- Lead workplace interior projects from concept through completion, collaborating with clients, project teams and suppliers to deliver creative, commercially successful environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead commercial interior design projects from concept to completion.
- Develop and present creative workplace design concepts.
- Produce space plans, technical drawings and furniture layouts.
- Specify furniture, finishes and materials aligned to project budgets.
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers for pricing and technical information.
- Carry out site surveys and field measurements where required.
- Collaborate with project managers, consultants and client teams.
- Prepare specifications and project documentation.
- Manage project quality, budgets and programme.
About You
- 3–5+ years’ experience in commercial or workplace interior design.
- Excellent space planning and furniture specification skills.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Confident presenting to clients and managing stakeholder relationships.
- Knowledge of workplace trends, furniture manufacturers and commercial interiors.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects.
