We are looking for a hands-on, operationally-minded leader to drive asset enhancement, repositioning, and value realization across our ~£2bn European real estate portfolio. The focus is on transforming existing assets.
Main Responsibilities:
- Asset Enhancement & Repositioning: Lead end-to-end transformation strategies — change of use (e.g., student accommodation, BTR), ESG/EPC upgrades, and operational improvements. Drive project execution in partnership with local European teams and China-based engineering/operations support. Deliver measurable NOI uplift through leasing initiatives, cost restructuring, and capex optimization.
- Stakeholder & Board Engagement: Serve as a key interface between European operations and global leadership. Report directly to the platform's senior leadership; present asset strategies, execution updates, and exit recommendations to the board. Mentor junior talent and embed best practices in asset management execution and stakeholder reporting. Develop and implement divestment plans (direct sales, recapitalizations, JVs) aligned with asset-level KPIs and market timing. Structure capital solutions that balance near-term liquidity with value maximization. Prepare assets and asset packs for institutional-grade exits.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of hands-on experience in real estate project execution, asset transformation, or development management.
- Proven track record of repositioning, developing, or turning around commercial assets — ideally with cross-border European exposure.
- Full-cycle exits (development-to-sale or acquisition-to-disposition) experience.
- Strong project management, leasing, and capital structuring capabilities.
- Background in engineering, construction, civil engineering, hospitality, or mixed-use turnaround highly preferred.
- Ownership mentality — takes initiative, pushes execution without waiting for top-down direction.
- Data-driven decision-maker with strategic judgment.
- Strong stakeholder communication — can credibly represent the platform to capital partners and investors.
- Language requirement: Fluent in Mandarin Speaking is a Must.
