About Happy Doggo

Happy Doggo is an international animal welfare charity working to improve the lives of street dogs across the world. We launched in 2023 and have since grown to a team of 45 people, on track to raise over $12M next year to support our charitable programmes in South East Asia.

We operate across a UK charity, a US 501(c)(3), and a Thai entity. As we expand around the world, we need an organized, creative, and enthusiastic Content & Fundraising Coordinator to support our growing online community and keep our administrative engine running smoothly.

The Role

We create compelling videos every day that reach millions of people, inspire our global audience, and encourage donations. In this role, you’ll help support that journey from beginning to end: from publishing content that inspires people to give, through to responding to donor enquiries, processing gifts, and sharing the direct impact of their generosity.

Your time will be split roughly equally between two core areas:

  • Content & Community Management (50%): Scheduling videos across platforms, writing engaging captions, responding warmly to comments and DMs, making simple video edits, and helping maintain a positive online community.
  • Fundraising Administration (50%): Managing our shared fundraising inbox, processing donor gifts, keeping our CRM records neat, and sending heartfelt thank-you communications.

This is a hands-on junior role focused on the day-to-day activities that keep our content and fundraising operations running seamlessly. You’ll report directly to our Fundraising Manager and work as part of our UK team alongside our US fundraising lead and global video creators. There is genuine room to grow and take on more responsibility as you build confidence and experience.

Key Responsibilities

Content & Community Management (50%)

  • Schedule and publish videos across our social media channels
  • Write engaging captions, titles, and descriptions that help our content reach and inspire audiences
  • Respond to social media comments and direct messages in a friendly, thoughtful, and professional tone
  • Answer straightforward audience questions about our work, directing potential donor opportunities to the fundraising team
  • Make simple video edits when needed (trimming clips, adding captions, and resizing for different platforms using tools like CapCut or Canva)
  • Support the creation of donor thank-you messages, shoutouts, and campaign updates
  • Manage the shared fundraising inbox, responding to routine donor enquiries promptly and warmly
  • Direct complex enquiries to the appropriate team member (including UK and US colleagues) with clear follow-up notes
  • Record gifts from online platforms, workplace giving programmes (e.g., Benevity), and Gift Aid into our CRM (HubSpot)
  • Prepare and send donation acknowledgements, PDF receipts, and stewardship packs
  • Keep donor contact details and communication preferences accurate and up to date
  • Ensure every supporter enjoys a warm, seamless experience from their very first inquiry

About You

  • 1+ years experience managing or actively moderating online communities or social media channels (for a brand, creator, business, or community organization)
  • Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail when handling data and administration
  • Strong written English, with the ability to adapt your tone for friendly social comments or professional donor emails
  • Comfortable using everyday digital tools, social platforms, and spreadsheets
  • Ability to make light video edits or a genuine enthusiasm to learn basic editing tools
  • High discretion and care when handling sensitive supporter information
  • Familiarity with a CRM (like HubSpot), social scheduling tools, or workplace giving platforms

The Kind of Person Who Will Thrive Here

You’re organized, curious, and love helping people. We value enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn just as much as formal experience—you don't need a background in charities to succeed here! You get genuine satisfaction from neat spreadsheets and smooth processes, but you’re equally excited about chatting with supporters online, editing a quick video clip, and celebrating donor generosity. And you care about dogs.

What We Offer

  • A salary of £30,000 – £35,000, depending on experience
  • Remote working with flexible hours in the UK
  • Occasional UK team meetups
  • Dedicated learning, development, and software training support
  • The chance to shape a growing international charity at a pivotal moment, seeing the direct impact of your work on the ground
