  • Develop and maintain standard work, SOPs, visual management, training materials, and daily operating routines.
  • Identify and develop new operational metrics as business needs evolve.
  • Support capacity planning, workforce planning, and operational readiness as volumes grow.
  • Develop the capabilities of team members through regular coaching, feedback, cross-training, and development planning.
  • Listen to team member feedback and resolve issues or conflicts constructively, escalating when necessary.
  • Act as a knowledgeable and accessible resource for team members and provide clear direction during operational challenges.
  • Establish effective communication channels to ensure information flows efficiently into, within, and out of the Receiving Center.
  • Partner closely with Operations leadership and cross-functional teams including Customer Service, Logistics, Security, HR, Quality, and other operational functions.
  • Serve as the senior onsite operational point of contact and make sound operational decisions when the Director of Operations is not physically present.
  • Support the development and execution of strategic and tactical plans to achieve company and departmental goals.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and serve as the first point of contact for incidents, injuries, and safety concerns.
  • Lead by example and champion company policies and standards, including safety, attendance, security, quality, and operational discipline.
  • Safely handle and account for valuable customer merchandise, ensuring its security, traceability, and proper handling throughout every stage of the receiving process.
  • Foster a culture where issues and risks are raised early, problems are solved collaboratively, and the team continuously looks for opportunities to improve.
