Cognizant Workday Practice is seeking a Principal Data Consultant experienced in Human Capital Management. As a Principal Data Consultant, you will guide clients through the transformation, implementation, and operation phases of a Workday implementation.

This role is ideal for self-starters eager to work across various customers and involved in all phases of Workday system implementations. Responsibilities

1. Become a Workday HCM and Data expert with knowledge of design, configuration, testing, and implementation.
2. Partner with your team and clients to ensure project success at each phase.
3. Learn to use Workday tools such as iLoad, EIB, Object Transporter, Advanced Load, and Migration Recipe for tenant-to-tenant migrations.
4. Design and develop data tracking, monitoring tools, and reports that are accurate, clear, and useful.
5. Use your technical skills to convert and map data sources into templates via iLoads.
6. Guide clients through data extraction, cleansing, and configuration processes, including security setup.
7. Create ETL scripts for data transformation and loading, and strategize data normalization.
8. Support data validation post-loading into Workday.
9. Engage regularly with clients throughout all project phases to ensure smooth transitions from legacy systems.
10. Manage multiple tasks independently while keeping stakeholders informed of progress.
11. Participate in training and internal knowledge sharing sessions.

Skills & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT, MIS, or related fields.
• 2-5 years of ERP Data Conversion or HCM implementation experience.
• 2-5 years of Workday HCM experience is highly preferred.
• Security clearance is a plus.
• Experience with data conversion, mining, and loading.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
