The predicted salary is between 500 - 1500 Β£ per month.

We are looking for professionals in interpreting and critically analysing scientific research papers to be used as evidence for the delivery of our nutrition & lifestyle interventions aimed towards children and their parents/guardians.

What difference will you make? All our roles are voluntary positions with no remuneration offered other than what we hope will be a huge amount of job satisfaction and fun, working with like-minded people with a passion for making a real difference to future generations. The weekly time commitment to this role, and its responsibilities, is flexible and needs to suit the individual but as a minimum we ask for an average of at least 3-5 hours a week. As a team of volunteers, we are grateful to everyone who agrees to contribute some of their valuable time to the project.

What are we looking for?

  • People with a keen interest and a proven track record in reviewing and/or writing academic papers and scientific literature in the field of health sciences or other related fields.
  • Experience in conducting literature reviews, particularly systematic literature reviews would be beneficial.
  • Past or present university connections would be highly desired.
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive and collaborative.
  • Structured and organised with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good time management and being able to work to a deadline.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a visible passion for healthy lifestyle and for engaging in charitable work to contribute to improved public health, especially of children and adolescents.
  • Be enthusiastic and passionate about research and findings.
  • Have a natural curiosity to find justifications on theory with the facts underpinning (explorer).
  • Be highly organised and with the ability to plan work, project manage and prioritise.
  • Have strong skills in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word and Excel).

What will you be doing?

  • Searching through literature databases to identify relevant scientific literature to support the key messages developed by the CFK Educational Contents Team.
  • Liaising with the various CFK Delivery Teams and Educational Contents Team to help develop learning outcomes for each intervention based on the key messages developed by the CFK Educational Contents Team.
  • Assisting in the development and upkeep of a core CFK literature library for all relevant peer-reviewed scientific literature based on the modules developed by the CFK Educational Contents Team.
  • Actively participating in both meetings with the evidencing team and the larger research, data and evidencing team meetings.
  • Anticipating and initiating the need for support and input from the CFK Advisory Board, other scientific advisors, university connections and partnerships, and other experts, as required, to ensure the CFK overarching goals are met based on up-to-date and robust scientific evidence.
  • Working collaboratively with the various teams and people across the CFK project, namely the Delivery, Marketing, Educational Contents and CFK Leadership Teams as well as external partners as required.
