Key Responsibilities
- Set and operate CNC lathes with Fanuc controls.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Select and install tooling, fixtures and work-holding equipment.
- Produce components to tight tolerances and quality requirements.
- Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspections using measuring equipment.
- Edit CNC programs and make offset adjustments where required.
- Monitor machine performance and report any issues to supervision.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Complete production documentation accurately.

Skills & Experience Required
Essential
- Previous experience as a CNC Turner.
- Experience setting and operating CNC lathes with Fanuc controls.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Competent using measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers and bore gauges.
- Understanding of machining various materials including steels, stainless steels and aluminium.
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
Desirable
- Experience with multi-axis or twin-spindle CNC lathes.

- Knowledge of aerospace, oil & gas, defence or precision engineering sectors.
- Apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualification.
