We are looking to appoint a temporary administrator, in an ongoing, week by week contract for our client in Poole. The ideal candidate will have strong administration experience, and ideally have worked within either Logistics, Supply Chain, Purchasing or a sales administration role. The role will be supporting a very busy internal department, so the ability to pick things up quickly, and multi-task, is essential. You will also be working with internal teams, and dealing with customers and other third parties, so strong communication skills are required.
Duties may include:
- Processing Orders: manage and process sales orders whilst ensuring accuracy on data entries and efficiency.
- Raise Purchase orders in a timely and efficient manner to departmental targets using the information provided by the business systems.
- Ensure supply partners provide purchase order acknowledgements. Review, challenge and escalate any issues.
- Update the company systems with relevant information and communicate changes to the wider business.
- Responsible for capturing and reporting data on product and supplier commercial performance. Ensuring supplier rebates are claimed in full.
- Preparing information & reports for supplier reviews and negotiations.
- Carry out any other additional duties as required.
Ideal experience / Skills:
- Previous experience in supply chain, Logistics, Warehouse operations or similar operations roles would be ideal.
- Systems confident, with experience of working with various systems.
- Excel proficiency to an advanced level.
- Detail oriented β keen attention to detail to manage complex supply chain data.
- Excellent communication skills. Able to work effectively with various stakeholders, including suppliers and procurement teams.
- Extremely disciplined to ensure processes are followed.
- Organised and structured approach to work.
- Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines.
- Product and supplier knowledge & interest.
If you are available immediately, and happy to do an ongoing temporary assignment on a week by week basis, please get in touch with Joy Bruce at Collaborate Recruitment. Our client is going through a period of growth, so there may be an opportunity for this to become a permanent position, or, if you are interested, you would then have the opportunity to apply for other internal positions as they arise. This could therefore be a great long term prospect, but would equally suit someone looking for a stop gap, or temporary position.
