We are looking to recruit a strategic and dynamic Learning and Development (L&D) Manager to design, implement, and evaluate training programmes to support employee growth, performance improvement, and organizational development. The ideal L&D Manager will be passionate about learning, have strong experience in talent development, and be adept at aligning learning initiatives with business goals. This newly created L&D function has now become a crucial requirement in order to support the continued growth and future development of existing employees and colleagues. Our client is open to employing someone on either a full-time or part-time basis, but do require this role to be office-based.
Key tasks include performing needs assessments, developing course content, facilitating workshops, and maintaining training records. The role also involves collaborating with various departments to identify training needs and provide support in skill development and employee growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute the company’s learning and development strategy in line with business objectives and workforce needs.
- Conduct skills gap analysis and training needs assessments to identify development opportunities across the organization.
- Design, implement, and manage engaging training programmes for all levels across the organisation.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives using KPIs, feedback, and performance metrics, and continuously improve training and development programmes based on insights.
- Collaborate with department heads and HR partners to support leadership development, onboarding, and career progression pathways.
- Manage the learning management system (LMS) and ensure timely updates and tracking of employee training records.
- Stay current with learning trends, tools, and technologies to innovate and enhance the organisation's L&D offerings.
- Manage relationships with external training providers and consultants as required.
- Support diversity, equality, and inclusion initiatives through inclusive learning experiences and practices.
- Previous experience in an L&D/HR and training position is essential, as this is a newly created position, with the autonomy to make the role your own.
- Experience in Training Design, Course Content Development, and gap analysis.
- Skills in Facilitating Workshops, Delivering Presentations, and training delivery.
- Ability to Evaluate Training Programmes and Provide Feedback to relevant managers/colleagues.
- Excellent project management, communication, and facilitation skills.
- Proven ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced/high-growth organisation (Ideal).
- Familiarity with digital learning platforms/micro learning/data analytics in L&D.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems and other training tools.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team is crucial.
