We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner to join a well-established aerospace manufacturing business. This is a permanent late shift position, ideal for a skilled machinist with strong experience using Fanuc controls and working to tight tolerances.
You will play a key role in producing high-precision aerospace components, ensuring the highest standards of quality and accuracy are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities- Set and operate CNC turning machines using Fanuc controls
- Machine complex aerospace components to tight tolerances
- Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
- Select tooling, set offsets, and adjust cutting parameters
- Carry out in-process inspection using precision measuring equipment
- Make program edits at the machine where required
- Ensure all work meets strict aerospace quality standards
- Complete production and quality documentation
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner in a precision or aerospace environment
- Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls
- Ability to set and operate CNC lathes independently
- Experience working to tight tolerances and high-quality standards
- Confident reading engineering drawings
- Skilled in using inspection tools (micrometers, verniers, gauges)
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Aerospace industry experience
- Knowledge of AS9100 standards
- Experience with multi-axis turning or live tooling
- Basic CNC programming/editing knowledge
