The predicted salary is between 131076 - 131076 £ per year.

The part-time position (0.5fte) will be assigned to the Centre for Public Health, School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences. The Fellow will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and will be responsible for providing academic leadership to boost commercial trial delivery capacity in NI Primary Care through the strengthening of infrastructure for commercial and academic research delivery and participation aligning with the strategic objectives relating to research, education, innovation and international impact with the aim to create an integrated Northern Ireland ecosystem for health and life sciences and is available immediately and for up to 3 years.

The postholder will run programmes of research that are relevant to the School’s research strategy, addressing the major risk factors impacting global health (e.g. diet, respiratory and other lifestyle factors). They will increase the links between the wider GP / Primary care ecosystem, researchers in CPH / SMDBS, iREACH Health, Primary Care Research Northern Ireland, Ulster University, C-TRIC and the One NI Commercial Research Delivery Centre.

Essential Criteria:

  • Medically qualified with full GMC registration/license to practice and MRCGP (or equivalent) by the time of commencement in the post
  • Registered on the Primary Medical Practitioners List in Northern Ireland
  • Significant full-time equivalent clinical experience.
  • Experience of research, audit or quality improvement activity commensurate with stage in career
  • Relevant academic administrative/management experience
