Job Purpose:
The role involves establishing relationships with customers to meet targets such as net sales, margin, and profit by building and implementing business plans. Understanding retailer strategy, shopper behaviour, and how Colgate-Palmolive can optimize brands and strategic goals is essential. Internal collaborators include Shopper Development Managers and Category Managers.
What you will do:
- Deliver sales, margin, and profit targets by leading a Joint Business Plan (JBP) based on tailored commercial plans.
- Analyze the business to identify issues and opportunities for optimization.
- Understand retailer strategies and shopper insights to optimize brand performance.
- Collaborate to develop shopper-focused plans integral to the JBP.
- Partner with Category Managers to identify growth opportunities.
- Plan collaboratively with customers, managing forecasts and investments effectively.
- Ensure financial activities like ledger management, accruals, and rebates are properly handled.
- Develop and communicate a 3-year retailer strategy.
- Work with marketing and brand teams to develop business solutions.
- Build external networks for customer engagement and business opportunities.
- Establish internal networks to support retailer objectives.
- Collaborate within the Customer Development Team to optimize team performance.
- Lead business development projects to influence the broader environment.
