Reporting to: Director, eCommerce Hill’s EMEA

Salary range per annum: £70,650 - £78,500

Position Summary: The purpose of this role is to orchestrate our Pan-European business with a strategic Pureplayer operating across multiple European markets. In this role, you will work in a hybrid structure with our local country teams, who manage the distribution, and you will have overall responsibility for ensuring growth and execution with the retailer at a European level. You will be responsible for setting the strategy across Europe and delivering the plan by working closely with the country teams. Additionally, you will ensure Joint Value Plans (JVPs) are set at a local level to manage the sell-in and sell-out targets with our local partners.

As a highly analytical professional, you will be responsible for measuring performance using traditional sales metrics (such as sales-in, sales-out, and share) as well as eCommerce metrics (such as traffic and conversion). This analysis will help evolve the plan and ensure Hill’s is highly visible to our target shoppers. You will work closely with a Retail Media Manager and an eMerchandiser to ensure the commercial readiness of Hill’s products, supporting the broader media and shopper targeting strategy. Furthermore, you will be responsible for forecasting the business and supporting local country teams to ensure high levels of product availability. You will set the European promotional strategy and manage its execution. You will have responsibility for the Europricing strategy with the retailer, oversee commercial agreements to ensure harmonious working between countries, and manage the shadow European P&L for the account. Finally, you will hold Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRMs) with local country partners for each market and work alongside Hill’s local account teams to ensure strategic alignment.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Local Teams: You will support negotiations with local partners and hold Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRMs) with local retail partners to track the business and ensure plan delivery. Additionally, you will lead the local account managers to ensure strategic execution. Finally, you will ensure alignment across the business and implement standardized ways of working.
  • Performance Measurement & Optimization: You will own the data reporting for the Pan-EU business and optimize the plan based on insights. Furthermore, you will ensure that KPIs are set and delivered effectively against key eCommerce and sales metrics to drive strategic growth.
  • Forecasting & Planning: You will be responsible for managing European demand forecasting and promotional planning, ensuring stock availability and retail readiness through collaboration with the Retail Media team, and owning the comprehensive European activation plan while aligning commercial and media priorities.
  • Management of Unauthorized Sellers: Manage unauthorized sellers in line with Hill’s selective distribution policy.
  • Pricing & Catalog Management: Manage the overall pricing strategy for the retailer while overseeing the comprehensive product range and catalog setup process to ensure accurate and effective commercial operations.

Skills and Competencies:

  • eCommerce Expertise: Proven experience managing a Pan-European eCommerce business, with experience across 1P and 3P marketplaces considered a significant plus.
  • Commercial Strength: Strong experience in managing complex multi-country negotiations with a strong financial acumen.
  • Analytical Rigor: Ability to interpret data and brand health metrics to drive decision-making.
  • Agility: Ability to remain agile in an ever-changing marketing landscape and prioritise workload under pressure.
  • Media Acumen: Understanding of how both brand and retail marketing drive commercial value, and how to execute a commercial plan against this.
  • Communication: Excellent skills in dealing with customers and internal stakeholders, including Senior Leadership Teams across an international matrix organisation.
  • Influence & Stakeholder Management: A proven ability to build trust and influence decision-making at senior levels, both internally and with external customer leadership.
  • Strategic thinking: Demonstrated strategic thinking throughout.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Customer Development or related field.
  • 6+ years of commercial / eCommerce (Customer Development or marketing) experience ideally in global, matrixed organizations.
  • Proven critical thinking and advanced problem-solving capabilities including ability to uncover measurable insights from large datasets.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and implement strong strategies for business growth.
  • Strong understanding of Digital Commerce and Omnichannel shopper journeys.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Fluency in English (written and oral).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pet Nutrition or related industry experience.
  • Strong experience using AI-powered tools.
  • Digital Marketing experience.
  • Working proficiency in a second core European language (e.g., French, German, Spanish, or Italian).
  • Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Customer Development or related field.
