About the Role
Do you have energy, creativity, and a passion for making kids smile? Colets Junior Activities is looking for a vibrant, confident, and child-focused Party Supervisor to lead the way at our weekend parties! You’ll be the go-to person for running amazing birthday parties, keeping things fun and safe, and making sure every child (and parent!) leaves with a big smile. This is the perfect role for someone local to Thames Ditton, or happy to travel in and if you’d like too you can also join us during the school holidays in our Holiday camps!
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Lead parties with confidence, energy, and a big smile
- Be responsible for the care and safety of all children attending
- Set up and pack away party areas (including the party room and swimming pool)
- Be confident in managing accidents/incidents and completing forms as needed
- Deal with any problems calmly and quickly to keep the party vibe going
- Support and welcome parents - you’re their point of contact when they drop off and collect
- Keep open communication with the JA management team with feedback after each shift
- Help maintain high health & safety standards and follow all safeguarding policies
- Role model outstanding childcare practice and support your team
What You Need:
- NVQ Level 2 in Playwork (desirable)
- First Aid trained (we’ll train you if not!)
- Safeguarding & Child Protection (we’ll provide training)
Experience:
- Experience working with children aged 4–12
- Confidence dealing with parents and providing excellent customer service
Knowledge:
- Familiarity with playwork, party planning, or leading group activities
Skills:
- Great communication especially with children and parents
- Able to adapt and think on your feet
- Confident leading a group
- Team player who’s also happy taking the lead
- Cool under pressure and ready for anything!
