Location: Harbour House Offices - Creekmoor. Job Type: Full-time / Permanent. Salary: Dependent on experience.
The Role:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Qualified Conveyancer PQE minimum 2 years to join our team in our Harbour House Office. The right candidate will be able to handle a varied caseload of residential property matters. You will support clients throughout the transaction process, from initial instruction through to completion, ensuring everything is dealt with efficiently, compliantly, and with a strong focus on client care.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of residential matters, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, new builds, transfers of equity and re-mortgages.
- Review title documents, raise and deal with enquiries, and consider search results.
- Prepare and deal with contracts, transfers, and mortgage documentation through to exchange.
- Produce completion statements, request mortgage funds, and handle completion monies.
- Complete SDLT submissions and register transactions with HM Land Registry in a timely manner.
- Keep clients, agents, lenders, and other solicitors updated with clear and regular communication.
- Mentor trainee solicitors and solicitor apprentices working in the support teams.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Must be a qualified Licensed Conveyancer, Solicitor, or Chartered Legal Executive PQE minimum 2 years.
- Proficiency in Case Management Systems and online portal tools.
- Deep, current understanding of residential property law, compliance regulations, Anti-Money Laundering procedures and requirements of CQS.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, and the capacity to work efficiently and flexibly under tight deadlines.
