Role Description


This is a full-time, on-site General Builder / Labourer role based in Guildford and surrounding areas. The position involves assisting with a variety of residential construction tasks, including basic carpentry, brickwork support, demolition, site preparation, and general labouring. Responsibilities include loading and unloading materials, keeping the site clean and safe, mixing and handling materials, and supporting skilled tradespeople as needed. The role also includes following project plans and instructions, operating basic tools and equipment safely, and reporting any issues or hazards to the site supervisor. The General Builder / Labourer will work as part of a small team to help deliver high-quality residential projects on time and to specification.


Qualifications



  • Hands‑on experience in general building or construction labour, including tasks such as basic carpentry assistance, brickwork support, demolition, and site preparation.

  • Strong awareness of site health and safety, including safe manual handling, use of PPE, and willingness to follow all safety procedures and instructions.

  • Ability to use hand tools and basic power tools safely and effectively, with a practical, problem‑solving mindset.

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently as part of a site team, communicating clearly with colleagues, supervisors, and subcontractors.

  • Good physical fitness and stamina to perform manual work, work outdoors in varying weather, and handle materials throughout the day.

  • Full right to work in the UK and ability to commute daily to Guildford and surrounding sites; a valid UK driving licence is an advantage.
