This is a Permanent position and Coleman James Ltd are acting as an Employment Agency.
Due to departmental growth a vacancy has arisen for an experienced time served HGV trailer technician to join our ranks. This is a full-time position as a trailer technician within the Fleet Department.
Working Arrangements: 37.5 hours Monday to Friday 07:30 – 15:30. Overtime available.
Responsibilities
- Completing planned 8-weekly inspections
- Applying proven trailer technician expertise to maintain and repair equipment
- Ensuring all tasks are carried out to the highest standards.
- Carry out on-site repairs as required.
- Demonstrating strong knowledge of pneumatics and electrics.
Requirements
- Ability to work alone as well as in a team
- Adhere to all health and safety policies
- Holds recognised qualification in HGV/trailer maintenance or equivalent experience.
- Has strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Maintains accurate service and repair records.
- Possesses a flexible approach with the ability to respond to operational needs at short notice in all weather conditions.
- Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and takes pride in workmanship.
- Someone who is proactive in identifying potential faults and implement solutions.
