We are working with a well-established MEP contractor known for delivering high-quality building services solutions across commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments. With an annual turnover approaching £70 million, the company prides itself on technical excellence, collaboration, and developing emerging talent within their teams. You will be joining a strong team based in the North West, comprising a total headcount of about 60, including a design team of roughly 12 with Design Managers, Revit Engineers, M&E Engineers, and apprentices. The office environment is relaxed, with a young team and an exciting pipeline of work offering new challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate MEP design information across mechanical, electrical, and public health disciplines
- Review drawings, models, and specifications to identify clashes and inconsistencies
- Support the implementation of BIM processes and ensure accurate model coordination
- Liaise with engineers, architects, contractors, internal project team and other stakeholders to facilitate design integration
- Maintain organised records of design changes, revisions, and documentation
- Attend external design team meetings/workshops and internal project team meetings and prepare minutes/action trackers
- Liaise with internal commercial & contracts team relating to project matters
- Ensure compliance with project specifications/employers' requirements, regulations, and company procedures
- Assist in resolving design-related issues during both pre-construction and construction phases
Requirements
- Good understanding of MEP systems and building services design principles
- Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD and/or Revit (BIM knowledge is a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
- Awareness of relevant industry regulations and standards
Desirable Skills
- Understanding of BIM Level 2 standards and coordination workflows
- Bachelor's degree (or working toward) in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field
