Highly regarded Construction and FM contractor are seeking an experienced Multi Skill Engineer (Mechanical bias), on a full time permanent basis. This role is part of a leading facilities management team dedicated to delivering high-quality maintenance services across residential and commercial sites, with this role working across the student accommodation sites. Role and Responsibilities: * Undertake planned and reactive maintenance activities across student living sites * Provide first-line response to maintenance issues during working hours and participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota. * Conduct quarterly showerhead and hose cleaning in line with ACOP L8 regulations (training provided). * Maintain and monitor mechanical systems, plantrooms, and associated equipment. * Perform weekly fire alarm testing. * Carry out bi-annual fire door inspections and associated adjustments (training provided). * Respond to faults in domestic water systems, including unblocking drains, replacing taps, shower valves, etc. * Ensure all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant regulations. * Working Hours: Monday to Friday (rotating shifts) Early: 08:00–16:30 Mid: 09:00–17:30 Late: 10:30–19:00, On-Call Rota: 1 in 6 weeks Requirements: * Recognised trade qualification in plumbing and heating (minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent). * Good working knowledge of ACOP L8 (desirable). * Proven experience in a similar maintenance role with a mechanical focus. * Ability to work independently or as part of a team, often to tight deadlines. * Competent in using digital systems and basic IT applications. * Full UK driving licence.
