Overview

We are working alongside an established M&E contractor who are in search of a Mechanical Estimator to join their team located in Newcastle. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a company who reward their staff well for hard work and dedication and they truly believe in promoting from within and create opportunities for the right people. Established over 30 years ago, our client offers the complete package for design and installation of electrical and mechanical building services projects. You would have exposure to large scale projects across Student Accommodation, Key Worker Apartments, Residential, Retirement and Commercial projects.

Responsibilities

  • To prepare full tenders and take responsibility for design and build projects and pre-designed projects
  • Ability to demonstrate understanding of tender / projects
  • To provide tender breakdown in logical format
  • To clarify your tender comprehensively
  • To identify and inform risks whilst carrying out tender
  • To identify and raise technical queries
  • Complete quotation analysis on all projects
  • Ability to provide accurate budget costs
  • Overall understanding of Estimation & Microsoft software
  • Produce tender submission documents
  • Meeting requirement deadlines
