A highly regarded Construction and Facilities Management contractor is seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Joiner Operative to join their team. This permanent role offers long-term stability, training opportunities, and a supportive working environment. The successful candidate will work across social housing projects, delivering high-quality joinery and maintenance services.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out repair, maintenance, and refurbishment tasks across multiple trades.
- Complete repairs within your competence across plumbing, carpentry, plastering, joinery, and other relevant trades.
- Attend repair appointments punctually, aiming for first-time resolution.
- Ensure the safe use and maintenance of company tools, equipment, and vehicles.
- Identify necessary remedial work, schedule appointments, and arrange materials as required.
- Minimise disruption to customers’ homes, maintaining cleanliness and tidiness during and after tasks.
- Participate in the company’s out-of-hours emergency repair and maintenance rota when needed.
- Deliver work to high standards, in line with client specifications and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Level 2 Building Maintenance Multi-Trade Repair and Refurbishment Operations, or equivalent.
- FRA experience in fire door remedial works.
- Valid CSCS card.
- NVQ Level 2 / City & Guilds qualifications in key trades (Plumbing, Carpentry, Plastering, Joinery, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of Health & Safety regulations in construction.
- Current valid driving licence.
- Relevant experience in building construction, repairs, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation.
