Supply Teacher β Inclusive Learning & Reintegration
Looking for a teaching role where you can make a real difference?
Are you a caring, adaptable teacher who enjoys helping children and young people find their confidence and get back into learning?
We're working with a specialist education provision looking for a supply teacher to support children and young people who may be finding mainstream education challenging.
This is a great opportunity for a teacher who enjoys building relationships, thinking outside the box and finding different ways to help young people engage with learning. You'll be working in a supportive environment where getting to know each learner, understanding their needs and celebrating the small wins are all part of the job.
You don't have to be someone who sticks rigidly to a textbook or expects every lesson to go to plan. You do need patience, flexibility and a genuine belief that every young person deserves a chance to succeed.
What will you be doing?
- Delivering engaging, flexible lessons that meet the needs and abilities of individual learners.
- Building positive relationships and helping young people feel comfortable, safe and ready to learn.
- Supporting pupils who may have experienced difficulties with attendance, behaviour, confidence or their previous school experience.
- Adapting activities to support learners with SEND, social, emotional and mental health needs, and other barriers to education.
- Encouraging young people to take part, develop new skills and recognise their own progress.
- Working alongside colleagues to provide consistent support and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Helping pupils develop the confidence and skills they need to move forward with their education.
- Sharing relevant updates about progress, wellbeing or safeguarding concerns with the appropriate members of the team.
You may also be asked to contribute to individual learning plans and reintegration activities, depending on your experience and the needs of the provision.
What kind of teacher would suit this role?
We're looking for someone who is:
- A qualified and experienced teacher, or someone who meets the relevant requirements for the post.
- Patient, approachable and able to build trust with children and young people.
- Flexible in their teaching style and happy to adapt lessons when something isn't working.
- Confident supporting pupils who may need a little extra encouragement to engage.
- Understanding of SEND, SEMH and the challenges that can affect attendance and learning.
- Calm, consistent and positive, even when a day doesn't go quite to plan.
- A team player who understands the importance of safeguarding and working together to support young people.
Experience in alternative provision, SEND, SEMH or reintegration would be a real advantage, but we'd also love to hear from mainstream teachers who are interested in trying something different.
Why consider supply in this setting?
This role could be ideal if you want greater flexibility while still doing meaningful work.
You'll have the opportunity to use your teaching skills in a different environment, build experience supporting a diverse range of learners and be part of a team focused on helping young people move forward.
It's teaching with a real emphasis on relationships, inclusion and individual progress, where making a difference to one young person can mean just as much as getting through a lesson plan.
Interested?
If you're a teacher who can bring patience, positivity and a flexible approach to learning, we'd love to hear from you.
Get in touch to find out more about the role, availability and daily rate. Please note rates of pay are inclusive of holiday pay.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check. The role is subject to the relevant safeguarding and safer recruitment requirements.
Help young people rebuild confidence, reconnect with learning and see what they can achieve.
