We are working alongside a leading building services contractor who are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to join their North West pre-construction team. This role is pivotal in securing and delivering high-quality MEP projects across sectors including healthcare, education, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use developments. They have an outstanding culture, team structure and there are long term opportunities for the right people to progress past Senior level and above.
The successful candidate will lead the electrical estimating function on complex tenders, ensuring accurate, competitive, and commercially robust submissions aligned with company standards and client expectations.
Pre-Construction & Estimating- Lead the preparation of detailed electrical cost estimates for projects ranging from £5m - £35m in value.
- Identify risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Support post-tender negotiations and contract finalisation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and main contractors.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments including design, commercial, and operations teams.
Proven experience as a Senior Electrical Estimator within the building services or MEP sector. Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services installations. Experience working on large-scale commercial or public sector projects. Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent commercial awareness and risk management capability.
